Party for a great cause at the Dance Parade Fundraiser Party this Thursday May 8!
Where: China1
“The East Village ’s Answer to Spice Market” (Zagat’s)
50 Avenue B between 3rd and 4th Streets (F,V to 2nd Ave/Houston, 6 to Astor Place )
When:The closed-to-the-public Dance Parade Private Party Rooms open at 7pm
And feature exotic drink specials all night long.
What: Banghra, Hip-Hop, Flamenco, Gypsy and Belly Dance Performances
Music by DJ’s John O’Connor, Arrow Chrome, UTA and It’s Overture
Mingling, Mixing and Networking in a sumptuous private environment.
Who:A sexy selection of professional and amateur dancers, industry-types and do-gooders getting down to support the New York Dance Parade.
How Much:$20 suggested door donation, with 100% of door proceeds going directly to Dance Parade operating
costs. In
addition to donating their space for the party, China1 will donate a
generous percentage of the night’s bar proceeds to the Dance Parade as
well.
Why:Dance Parade, Inc., the New York Non-Profit that organizes and produces the annual New York Dance Parade, is dedicated to
-promoting dance as an expressive and unifying art form by showcasing all forms of dance,
-educating the general public about the opportunities to experience dance,
and
-celebrating
the diversity of dance in New York City with a yearly Dance Parade and
Dance Festival, this year on Saturday May 17.
With over 3000 dancers representing nearly 30 styles of dance in this year’s parade down Broadway and St. Mark’s Place, The New York Dance Parade is poised to become a shining jewel in the cultural crown of our fine city, and we cannot do it without your help.
Dance
Parade, Inc. relies on sponsorships, grants, donations and benefit
proceeds to cover the operational costs of the Dance Parade, and you
can help them do it just by going out for drinks.
