Besides being a remix wizard partly responsible for the development of disco-house, John Julius Knight later influenced mainstream acceptance of the retro sound of New York’s more disco-fied house into the secular charts with such pivotal productions as the Cleptomaniacs topping reworking of Stevie Wonder’s ‘All I Do’, and under the guise of Eminence, the Kathy Brown-sung ‘Give It Up’. JJK is a man of many guises past and present, his latest is as label head for Reversoulmusic, his recently created label regularly to be found riding high on Traxsource’s sales chart with its impressive output. As a DJ, Knight’s known for his effervescent mix of the most upfront cuts, peppered with club classics and big-room anthems. His ability to play for, and excite the most diverse crowds, has made him a regular fixture on the international and domestic scene, with Cielo his latest date on an every increasing itinerary as he headlines Paradizo on Saturday 17th.
