Marques Wyatt, LA’s favorite house-head, and the man who helped put the West Coast house scene firmly on the map, starts his Deep summer residency at Cielo on Friday 11th. Harking back to the days of real musicianship, Wyatt’ sets ooze elegance and panache infusing the very best of retro-flavored shufflers with deep house grooves, and the odd hint afro-beat. With mixing that’s uncomplicated yet still slick, he allows the music to speak greater volumes than the DJ’s skills. Marques Wyatt will be joined by Master Kev, who gained exposure as a DJ upon his victory in a mix-off contest in the 1990s. He helped form the Underground Collective, which hosts legendary parties in New York City, as well as the Winter Music Conference in Miami, FL. This time local DJ/Producer Master Kev joins him on the decks as the two bring you a night full of soulful, deep house music sure to rock your socks off.
