Gas prices

Post by kat on Fri Apr 25, 2008 2:01 am

In case you weren't aware, gas stations on the NJ Turnpike and Parkway can only change their price per gallon once a week. So, if you see a hike, you may want to come to NJ highways for a savings....The price changes happen on Fridays.

Gas was 32 cents a gallon in 1962
im sure that hurt as well

the problem with gas prices were they were flat for the last 20 years before this spike if they simply rose 10 cents a year like everything else
no one would be complaining like this and hybrid and electric technology would probably be much further ahead and cheaper..

thats just my opinion

Damm its going to be a shitty year at this rate. I guess I'll have to dust off my metrocard.

Ever Changing Gas Prices

Post by Rebecca2731 on Sat Jun 07, 2008 12:14 am

On Long Island there is a gas station on Wantagh Ave the price for gas is $3.99 per gallon. Its a Getty gas station. Very cheap compared to the gas station at the corner of my house which changes its prices almost everyday, right now its $4.17 per gallon. I also heard on the news that by July 4th gas prices are going up to $150 a barrel. So everyone should stock up on gas soon. flower

There's a gas station at Millburn and Atlantic in Baldwin Harbor that's charging $4.35 per gallon (ack!)

The price goes higher for premium gas ($4.45 per gallon) and $5.25 per gallon for diesel..all at the same gas station.

I thought about getting my driver's license...but with the gas prices being what they are, I'd rather take public transportation
