The FnF Project was founded in the later part of 2008 as a dynamic duo to bring their unique vision of house music to the masses. Consisting of Eric “Cheric” Chen, and Leon “FreekBeatz” Chalyavski. The FnF Project encompasses all aspects of house music from, live DJ’ing, to production, and re-mixing in their own state of the art studio. On the near horizon look for an EP release, amazing remixes with well known NYC talent, a weekly internet radio show, podcasts, and amazing beats on the dance floor!!!!
Cheric has been a disc jockey in the NYC house music scene since the summer of 2002. During his seven years as a DJ, Cheric has spun at some of the best known venues in NYC; including Crobar, Mansion, Discotheque, and Guesthouse; While holding weekly residencies at Le Souk, Bogarts, and Rebel NYC. Born in Manhattan and now residing in Queens, Cheric has been in and around the New York sound since his teenage years. At the age of 19 he attended a performance by Paul Van Dyke that influenced him to such an extent, that nothing would stand in the way of his being up in the DJ booth bringing music, and excitement to the masses. In the recent past Cheric has spun next to New York mainstays Alex Pearce, Michelangelo, Plasmic Honey, Louie Corrales, and Patricia Star to name a few. “I’d rather not describe my music to the world; I would rather the world just listen” states Cheric. With that philosophy you are bound to hear some of the sounds that resonate inside Cheric’s head on a dance floor near you very soon.
FreekBeatz has been around the NYC club scene since the formidible years of his youth. Drawing his influences from legendary venue’s such as Exit, Tunnel, Limelight, and the original Sound Factory. House music has been a passion with him for going on two decades, a passion he wishes to share with others as often as possible. After the successful ownership of two businesses, FreekBeatz decided to throw caution to the wind, and sold his business, and took up DJ’ing full time. After deciding to do so, he has completely immersed himself within the NY scene. With spins at Mansion, Rebel, Moomia, and Star Lounge; Freekbeatz is adding notches to his belt at a staggering rate. Most notably as of late, FeekBeatz spun a private party for Katty Perry. With his drive and determination to succeed, FreekBeatz is bound to amaze the scene sooner than later!
