Symphonic Balanchine Ballet & "Meet The Dancer" Private Backstage Tour

Post by reallivepeopleparty on Fri Apr 11, 2008 12:40 pm

Join Real Live People Party for a Night at the Ballet and a private 45 minute backstage tour.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 6:15 PM

WHERE: NY State Theater: 20 Lincoln Center Plaza at 65th & Broadway

COST: $40.00 Prepaid for 4th Ring or $85 for Orchestra

At 6.30 PM our principal dancer will escort us and share insights on
the New York City Ballet, its history and answer all Q & A. The
breathtaking highlight of the evening will be the view of the
auditorium from on-stage. How cool is that!

At 7.30 PM an NYCB docent will allow us to learn more about the company
and gain an insight into the program we'll be seeing, the dancers who
are dancing and other important notes.

At 8:00 PM we'll be seated for the ballet.

SYMPHONIC BALANCHINE: No one delighted in creating grand ballets
more than George Balanchine, and no one did it with greater variety.
Symphony in C turned a long-lost Georges Bizet score into a masterpiece
of regal, crystalline luminosity. Bold and jet-propelled, Symphony in
Three Movements is a kinetic tour de force, striking for its simplicity
and power. The frontier bravura of Western Symphony will warm your
heart and the rousing, non-stop finale will leave you wanting more.
