Join us as we celebrate 4 years of bangin' Drum and Bass parties!! We're extremely honored to bring the NYC debut of Critical Music! Don't miss this special night featuring:

Kasra (Critical Music)

“Kasra is a gatekeeper to what is under the surface in drum & bass. He does what he does with passion and care. He is a kindred spirit” – Goldie, Metalheadz

Since his first forays into drum & bass in the late 1990′s as a burgeoning young DJ, there’s no doubt that Kasra has now made an indelible mark on the scene, a mark that continues to grow ever-stronger as his Critical Music empire prospers.

As Critical’s figurehead, the demand for Kasra’s DJ’ing skills has escalated to the point of a schedule that sees him playing regularly every weekend throughout the UK rest of the world. Vienna, Budapest, Shanghai, Beijing, Miami, Berlin and of course his beloved Lodon are just a few of the places that have beared witness to the Critical Sound and the list just keeps getting longer. Quite a feat these days for someone who’s not yet really gone deep into the production process.

This is all changing though as Kasra’s been busying himself back on the studio readying his own takes on the Critical sound. 2011 saw a collaboration with S.P.Y and also Jubei on the heavily rotated Sequence One EP. With many more collars to come and some solo cuts, expect to see many more Kasra productions gradually working their way into the sets of the great and the good of the D&B community.

Not content with a release schedule bursting with future classics and his own rigorous DJ’ing schedule continually on the up, the label now boasts its own residency at one of the worlds most iconic electronic music venues, Fabric London, where it can regularly be seen smashing up the place with an always superstar cast of DJing elite form D&B and beyond. The first quarter of 2012 saw Kasra achieve what ono a select few people around the world have managed in their careers; being asked to mix the new Fabric Live album was a huge honour and resulted in FabricLive 62 being one of the most successful drum & bass mix albums of the day.

“The rave George Cross, one of dance music’s highest honours.” – DJ Mag

Enei (Critical Music)

Hailing from St. Petersburg in Russia it was way back in 2003 that a young Alexey Egorchenkov first got the taste for the musical drug Drum & Bass. Like many others before him he became hooked, dabbling with his own production and DJing soon after. Taking the artist name Enei his career began to blossom giving him star status in his beloved Russia and far but it wasn’t until 2007 that things really began to escalate.

During this year Enei earned his first official release on the Dutch label Fokuz but it was the first of many as others began to drop on other imprints such as Blu Saphir, Cyanide and Citrus throughout 2008 and 2009. Whilst his productions and profile began to take shape a certain eagle-eyed label boss, renowned for his supreme A&R’ing, was keeping close tabs on him; it wasn’t long before the phone call was made and Kasra secured the first Enei release for Critical Music at the end of 2010. The rest as they say, is history.

Releasing the Andy C favourite ‘Cracker’, ‘One Chance’ and the much lauded ‘Stone Head EP’, Enei’s Critical discography is relatively short but seeing the sheer talent within Kasra signed him exclusively for the label in 2011. It was Enei’s biggest year and to top it off he came away the ‘Best Newcomer Producer’ accolade at the end of year Drum & Bass Arena Awards.

In 2012 things only got better for Russia’s number 1 producer/DJ, his debut album ‘Machines‘ hitting the D&B scene by storm. With his music supported by Goldie, London Elektricity, Bailey, DJ Hype, Andy C, Kasra and many more, and an ever increasing DJ’ing schedule, you can guarantee this is merely the start of it as one of the most exciting of the new producers generation in electronic music today continues to make his way.

Foreign Concept (Critical Music)

The name Foreign Concept has come to represent both DJ’ing distinction and a multiform production style that synthesises the sounds of yesterday and tomorrow in chord with the Critical Music ethos.
The London born, but now Bristol dwelling talent took to the turntables in 2004, and whilst bringing to the fore a future-thinking genre inclusivity that makes his DJ sets uniquely hard to miss, Foreign Concept was quickly noted for his finesse for infectious blends of which lead to an international DJ schedule as a club favorite.

The eclectic producer has consistently experimented in his music with a devout focus on the quality of his repertoire. His more recent work has involved the vocal talents of DRS, T-Man, Punchline (Emc), and Naomi Olive, plus talk of more in the pipeline. In only three years, Foreign Concept has amassed support from some of the biggest players in the UK’s electronic music game including Andy C, Friction, Sub Focus, Benji B, Zed Bias and Mista Jam.
